Last week, I shared Part 1 of the wisdom from The Kybalion — delving into the idea that we’re not just in the universe, but within a vast, intelligent Mind.

This week, we dive into the core teachings — the 7 Hermetic Principles.

For centuries, this wisdom was hidden.

Studied by mystics, alchemists, sages — even secret societies.

These principles weren’t about controlling the world — they were about understanding it.

They taught that life isn’t random. It moves according to laws.

And when you understand those laws… you move with more power.

The 7 Hermetic Principles 🧿

1. The Principle of Mentalism

“The All is Mind; The Universe is Mental.”

Everything begins in the mind.

Before anything exists in the physical world, it starts as a thought.

  • Your thoughts shape your reality
  • The universe itself is conscious and intelligent
  • What you believe, imagine, and focus on — you begin to create

This is why visualization and manifestation aren’t just trends.

They’re rooted in this universal law.

When you direct your thoughts with clarity and feeling, you’re not just daydreaming — you’re participating in creation.

You’re not separate from the universe.

You’re a part of the greater Mind, and every thought you send out is part of its ongoing creation.

2. The Principle of Correspondence

“As above, so below; as below, so above.”

This law reveals the mirror effect of reality.

The outer world reflects the inner world.

Patterns repeat across all levels — mind, body, soul, and universe.

  • Your beliefs shape your experiences
  • Your emotions ripple into your environment
  • What shows up in your life often mirrors what’s happening within

Want to shift your reality?

Start by observing your thoughts, reactions, and repeated patterns.

Change within, and the world around you begins to change too.

3. The Principle of Vibration

“Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.”

At the core of everything — from your thoughts to physical matter — is vibration.

Nothing is truly still. Everything is in constant motion.

  • Emotions carry frequency
  • Thoughts emit energy
  • Even “solid” objects are just energy vibrating at different speeds

You’re constantly sending out a signal, and tuning into others.

Low vibrations (like fear, guilt, or shame) feel heavy and draining.

High vibrations (like love, joy, or gratitude) uplift and align.

The higher your vibration, the clearer your experience of life becomes.

Want better results?

Raise your frequency.

4. The Principle of Polarity

“Everything is dual; everything has poles.”

Everything exists on a spectrum.

Light and dark. Hot and cold. Love and hate.

They’re not separate things — they’re just opposite ends of the same energy.

  • Peace and chaos are part of the same scale
  • Confidence and doubt come from the same source
  • You can shift from one to the other

This is the power of polarity:

You don’t have to stay stuck in a low state, you can move toward its opposite.

Change happens by shifting degrees, not flipping switches.

The more aware you are of where you are on the scale, the more control you have to shift your experience.

5. The Principle of Rhyth

“Everything flows, out and in; everything has tides.”

Life moves in cycles.

Highs and lows. Expansion and contraction. Growth and rest.

Nothing stays still — everything rises and falls.

  • Emotions come in waves
  • Energy has peaks and dips
  • Success, clarity, and motivation all have natural rhythms

This law reminds you:

  • What goes down will rise again
  • What rises will eventually fall, and rise once more

The key is not to fight the rhythm, but to ride it.

6. The Principle of Cause & Effect

“Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause.”

Nothing happens by chance.

Every thought, choice, and action sets something in motion.

  • Thoughts lead to actions
  • Actions create results
  • Every decision creates a ripple

Most people react to life.

But once you become conscious — you become the cause.

Don’t ask “Why is this happening to me?”

Ask “What am I creating?”

When you take ownership of the cause, you begin to shape the effect.

7. The Principle of Gender

“Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine principles.”

Masculine and Feminine are two forces that exist in all things.

  • The Masculine is will, logic, action, and direction
  • The Feminine is intuition, creativity, flow, and nurturing

You hold both within you.

So does everyone, and everything in nature.

True power comes from balancing both and letting them work together.

Like sun and moon, fire and water — each completes the other.

Together, they make creation possible.

🌀 What strikes me the most is this:

We’ve heard pieces of this wisdom before from many different sources.

From science and spirituality.

From ancient texts and modern teachers.

From books about energy, mindset, emotions, or manifestation.

And maybe that’s the point.

When the same truth shows up again and again…

Maybe it’s not just another idea.

Maybe it’s something we’re meant to remember.

The Kybalion brought that home for me.

It helped me connect the dots and see how it all fits together.

And honestly, it made life feel a little less random…

A little more meaningful.

A little more within reach.

Because if these principles are real, and I believe they are, then we have more power than we think.

Not control over everything.

But the ability to work with life instead of against it.

And maybe… that’s what it means to wake up.
